We are herewith informing all potential visa applicants that after 01. June 2010. it will no longer be possible to procure a visa on a same – day basis at Diplomatic-Consular Missions of the Republic of Serbia. From the stated date a prior consent of the pertinent authorities of the Republic of Serbia will be required. We thus kindly advise all potential visa applicants to submit their visa applications within a time period required for the issuance of the same, an early submission being the best course of action.

Beginning from June 12, 2010, citizens of European Union countries, the Swiss Confederation, Kingdom of Norway and Republic of Iceland may enter the Republic of Serbia using their identity cards and stay up to 90 days.

For holders of passports for foreigners are required visas to enter the Republic of Serbia.

NEW: (14.1.2012.) Macedonian citizens can cross the state border of the Republic of Serbia with valid identity card

At its session held on 22 December 2008, the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia adopted the amendment to the Law on Passports, extending the validity of FRY passports until 31st December 2009.
