Political relations

On 4 May 2017 the Government of the Republic of Serbia established 25 May as the Day of Friendship with the Peoples of Africa.

Bilateral relations are insufficiently developed and not in line with the traditionally intensive and close cooperation from the time when our country was an active member in the Non-Aligned Movement. There have not been visits from either side for a considerable period of time.

Economic relations

Economic relations are undeveloped. In 2021, Serbian exports were 12,000 euros and imports were 16,000 euros.

Bilateral agreements

Agreement on trade and payments, date of ratification: 22 February 1961.

Protocol on cooperation between the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, date of signing and coming into force: 21 April 2000.
