Minister Dačić expresses condolences on the death of Vladimir Makei

On the occasion of the sudden death of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Vladimir Makei, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Ivica Dačić expressed his sincere condolences to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.

"On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and my personal behalf, please accept my deepest condolences on the death of my friend and colleague Vladimir Vladimirovich Makei. It was with sadness and disbelief that I received the news of his sudden death. His departure represents an irreparable loss for the people of friendly Belarus, the employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus and the state leadership.

I will remember him as a talented and hard-working statesman and sincere patriot who, in these complex times and circumstances, always implemented a balanced and peaceful foreign policy, in accordance with the interests and for the benefit of the people of the Republic of Belarus.

His premature death is a loss for the Republic of Serbia, also. I lost a friend and colleague, a partner who worked steadily and tirelessly to constantly improve the relations between our two countries.

Once again, I express my deep condolences to the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Republic of Belarus, the family and friends of the esteemed Vladimir Vladimirovich Makei", was stated in the condolences of the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Ivica Dačić.
