State Secretary Jovanović in Baku for Bilateral Political Consultations on Multilateral Issues

During an open and constructive exchange, the interlocutors discussed current issues of cooperation within international organizations, as well as opportunities for further coordination of the two countries’ positions at the multilateral level. Particular emphasis was placed on the traditionally strong cooperation and friendly relations between Serbia and Azerbaijan, founded on mutual respect and a strategic partnership.

Views were also exchanged on a broader range of international and regional topics, including current developments in the Western Balkans and the South Caucasus, and mutual support for respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of both countries was reaffirmed.

The meeting was conducted in a spirit of mutual understanding and confirmed the shared readiness to continue intensive political dialogue and to further enhance cooperation at both the bilateral and multilateral levels.

During her visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan, State Secretary Jovanović also met with Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs Araz Azimov and Fariz Rzayev, with whom she discussed current global developments, challenges to international security, and the importance of dialogue and cooperation in preserving stability in international relations.
