Damjan Jović

He was born on 12 January 1982 in Belgrade.
He graduated in international relations from the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Belgrade. He received his master's degree at Charles University in Prague in the field of international politics and security, attended master's studies in the same field at the University College London (UCL - SSEES), and also studied at Yale University.
From 2012 to 2014, at the General Secretariat of the President of the Republic, he was on the President's Foreign Policy Team.
From 2014 to 2020, he served in the Office for Kosovo and Metohija of the Government of the Republic of Serbia as Advisor to the Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, and then as Deputy Director.
He was a member of the Negotiating Team of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Accession of Serbia to the EU (Chapter 35).
At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he served as Assistant Minister for Bilateral Cooperation, as Ambassador, and then as Consul General at the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in Chicago from April 2021.
In July 2024, he was appointed State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He is a member of MENSA Serbia.
He speaks English, and has a command of Czech and Russian.

Nevena Jovanović

She was born on August 9, 1986, in Kragujevac.
She completed her secondary education at the First Kragujevac Gymnasium. She graduated from the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Political Sciences, Department of Journalism and Communication, with an average grade of 9.30. During her studies, she was a scholarship holder of the Fund for Young Talents of the Republic of Serbia. In the 2012/2013 academic year, she attended and successfully completed the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia.
She has been employed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 2012.
From 2012 to 2013, she worked in the Sector for the European Union, in the Department for EU Institutions. From 2013 to 2014, she worked in the General Secretariat of the Ministry, holding the diplomatic rank of Third Secretary.
From 2014 to 2018, she served as Second Secretary at the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Serbia to the OSCE and other international organizations in Vienna, where she was part of the national team during Serbia’s OSCE Chairmanship in 2015.
From 2018 to 2019, she worked in the EU Sector of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the diplomatic rank of First Secretary.
From 2019 to 2021, she served at the Mission of the Republic of Serbia to the European Union in Brussels, where she was responsible for monitoring the EU-facilitated Belgrade–Pristina Dialogue and the work of the European Parliament. During this time, she was promoted to the diplomatic rank of Counsellor.
From January to June 2021, she served as Deputy Assistant Minister for Bilateral Cooperation, holding the rank of Minister-Counsellor.
From June 2021 to June 2025, she served as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of North Macedonia.
In July 2025, she was appointed State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
She speaks English and Spanish, and has basic knowledge of German and French.
