Bilateral Political Consultations between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of South Africa

Bilateral political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and the Department of International Relations and Cooperation of the Republic of South Africa, led by State Secretary Damjan Jović and Deputy Minister Alvin Botes, were held today in Belgrade.

During the discussions, the interlocutors reaffirmed the traditionally good and friendly relations between the two countries and expressed their readiness to further enhance bilateral cooperation through the intensification of political dialogue and the exchange of high-level visits.

Special attention was devoted to the development of cooperation in the fields of economy, agriculture, and information technology.

The importance of further strengthening cooperation within international organizations and forums was also emphasized, and views were exchanged on current regional and global issues.

State Secretary Jović expressed his gratitude to the Republic of South Africa for confirming its participation in the Specialized Exhibition Expo 2027 in Belgrade.
