Political relations

The Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Costa Rica share readiness to strengthen regular political dialogue and cooperation.

The then Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Costa Rica, H. Barantes, paid a visit to the Republic of Serbia in November 2012.

Economic relations

According to data from the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, the total trade exchange with Costa Rica in 2025 amounted to €17.2 million, of which €1.7 million referred to exports from the Republic of Serbia and €15.5 million to imports.

Bilateral agreements

  • Convention on Cooperation with Costa Rica in the Field of Education, Science and Culture, signed on 6 October 1964. (The Official Gazette No.11/1966, Appendix).
