Political relations Bilateral political relations are traditionally very good and friendly, although cooperation overall remains underdeveloped. Following a period without visits by officials, dialogue was renewed, first with the visit of Ivica Dačić, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior of the Republic of Serbia, to Mali on 19 November 2025, followed by the participation of Mali’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdoulaye Diop, in the Commemorative Meeting marking the 65th anniversary of the Non-Aligned Movement in Belgrade on 31 August and 1 September 2026.
Economic relations According to data from the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, total trade in goods with the Republic of Mali in 2025 amounted to EUR 196 thousand, of which exports from the Republic of Serbia accounted for EUR 155 thousand and imports for EUR 41 thousand.
