Timisoara: Promotion of the tourist offer of Vojvodina at the Days of Vojvodina in Timisoara

The Days of Vojvodina in Timisoara event was held on 11 and 12 August with the aim of promoting the tourist offer of Vojvodina for potential visitors from that city, as well as the wider Romania–Serbia border region, in which the Timis County is located.

On the first day of the event, a press conference and a presentation of the tourist offer were held in the Loyd restaurant, with the possibility of tasting wines from Vršac, Palić and Fruška Gora vineyards and original gastronomic specialties.

Consul General of the Republic of Serbia in Timisoara Vladan Tadić, prefect of Timiș County Mihai Ritivoiu, Adviser to the President of the Timiș County Council Viorel Koifan, Vice President of the Association of Serbs in Romania Dejan Popov spoke to the representatives of the media, travel agencies and interested citizens about the importance of increasing the volume of tourist exchange and organising such events to improve relations, and Deputy Provincial Secretary for Economy and Tourism Palimir Tot, Secretary of the Association of Services Providers of the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina Branislav Mamić and Director of the Tourism Organisation of Vojvodina Nataša Pavlović spoke about the economic potential for the development of cooperation and the specific tourist offer of Vojvodina. 

In individual conversations with journalists and presentations at the stands set up on Victory Square, tourist organisations from Novi Sad, Vršac, Subotica, Temerin, Bački Petrovac, Novi Bečej, Kikinda, Sremska Mitrovica and Pančevo presented their offer with typical Vojvodina products, souvenirs, folk crafts, brochures and other promotional material.

At the same time, an appropriate cultural and artistic programme was performed on the Victory Square, the central part of which was a two-hour concert by a female tamburitza orchestra La Banda from Novi Sad.
