Kozarev confers with the Ambassador of Israel to Review the Outcomes of the Visit

The Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Dušan Kozarev, met today with the Ambassador of the State of Israel, Avivit Bar-Ilan, to discuss participation in the international artificial intelligence conference EducAItion 2026 in Jerusalem, as well as meetings with Israeli officials that marked the visit.

Kozarev expressed his satisfaction at the opportunity to present Serbia as a country that follows modern technological trends and has achieved significant progress in the application of artificial intelligence, particularly in the field of public administration.

Bearing in mind Israel’s leading position in advanced technologies, Kozarev underscored that closer cooperation with Israeli state institutions and companies would be highly beneficial for Serbia, with a view to the transfer of knowledge and expertise, especially in the area of innovation in education.

The Secretary General also highlighted the visit to the Yad Vashem Memorial Centre, noting that the two nations are linked by great suffering in the past, as well as by a shared commitment to preserving the dignified memory of the victims as a pledge that such tragedies must never be repeated.

Reflecting on the traditionally strong bilateral relations between the two countries, the interlocutors agreed that the forthcoming strategic dialogue between Serbia and Israel should place particular emphasis on cooperation in the fields of the economy, defence, culture, and sport.

They also discussed opportunities for further strengthening ties between the diplomatic academies of the two foreign ministries through study visits and training programs for young diplomats.
