State Secretary Jović confers with Norway’s Special Envoy for the Western Balkans Mathisen

The State Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Damjan Jović, met today with Mr. Eirik Nesteas Mathisen, Special Envoy for the Western Balkans of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway.
The meeting focused on Serbia’s European integration process, the Belgrade–Pristina dialogue, the regional situation, and current geopolitical developments.
State Secretary Jović welcomed Norway’s active engagement in the Western Balkans and briefed his interlocutor on the situation in Kosovo and Metohija, highlighting the difficult circumstances facing the Serbian population and the Serbian Orthodox Church. He expressed the hope that the involvement of the Special Envoy would contribute to a better understanding of the realities on the ground in the Province.
The meeting was also attended by H.E. Ms. Kristin Melsom, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to the Republic of Serbia.
