The issuance of parameters for electronic identification begins today

01. Feb 2023.
As of today, 1 February 2023, diplomatic and consular missions of the Republic of Serbia have started issuing parameters for electronic identification.

Citizens of the Republic of Serbia staying abroad can contact the nearest diplomatic and consular mission where, based on a valid identification document of the Republic of Serbia (passport or identity card), they can obtain the parameters and QR code for installing and activating the ConsentID mobile application. Parameters and QR code are issued free of charge.

The ConsentID application enables users to confirm their identity in a safe and reliable way through the electronic identification portal, i.e. to log in to the eGovernment portal. By creating an account on the eGovernment portal and activating the Consent ID application, citizens of the Republic of Serbia become eCitizens. As a result, they will be able to electronically pay the property tax via a mobile phone or tablet, submit a request for the issuance of certificate from civil records and receive it for free in electronic form, use cloud signature to sign documents, give consent for the issuance of a passport to a minor child, as well as to use all other services provided by the eGovernment portal.

Parameters for electronic identification can also be obtained by foreign citizens with permanent or temporary residence in the Republic of Serbia.

More information, as well as a list of diplomatic and consular missions, can be found on the еConsulate portal.
