Tribute to Agostinho Neto and Reaffirmation of the Traditional Friendship Between Serbia and Angola

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Marko Đurić attended today the wreath-laying ceremony at the monument to Agostinho Neto in Belgrade and, together with the President of the Republic of Angola, João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, paid tribute to Agostinho Neto as part of the official visit of the Angolan delegation to the Republic of Serbia.

The ceremony honored the first President of independent Angola, a distinguished freedom fighter and one of the most prominent figures in the country's history.

The monument to Agostinho Neto, erected in New Belgrade to mark the centenary of his birth, stands as a symbol of the long-standing friendship and historical ties between Serbia and Angola.
