Kozarev Meets with Joint Secretary at Nepal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Kozarev expressed his profound condolences to the people and Government of Nepal over the loss of life caused by the natural disaster that struck the country, and conveyed Serbia’s solidarity and readiness to provide humanitarian assistance within its capabilities.
The interlocutors reaffirmed their mutual understanding rooted in the founding principles of the Non-Aligned Movement, whose universality and enduring relevance, as Kozarev emphasised, will be further reaffirmed at the forthcoming gathering.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation between the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs, which would provide additional impetus to the further advancement of relations in all areas of mutual interest. Discussing various forms of cooperation, the interlocutors highlighted the importance of the “World in Serbia” scholarship programme for international students, which, as Dhakal noted, helps create outstanding ambassadors both for Serbia and for the students’ countries of origin.
Kozarev conveyed his gratitude to Nepal for its principled and consistent support for the preservation of Serbia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Thanking Nepal for confirming its participation in Expo 2027 in Belgrade, Kozarev expressed his satisfaction that Serbia will have the opportunity to host a record number of participating countries in the history of Specialised Expos.
