Political relations

Bilateral relations between the two countries are good and without open issues. They are characterized by mutually expressed readiness to promote dialogue and cooperation in all fields of common interest.

The then First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dačić paid a bilateral visit to Paraguay in March 2019.

 

Economic relations

During 2020 overall trade between Serbia and Paraguay amounted to 641,000 euros, specifically, the    exports amounted to 422,000 euros, and imports amount to 219,000 euros. In 2019, exports amounted to 198,000 euros, and imports amounted to 128,000 euros.

 

Bilateral agreements

  • Trade and Payment Agreement with Paraguay, signed on 26 April 1958 (The Official Gazette of the FPRY No. 1/1959—Collection of Contracts of the FPRY, Volume 1/1959)
  • Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Paraguay on the Establishment of a Mechanism for Political Consultations, signed on 25 March 2019
  • Agreement on the Abolition of Visas for Holders of Diplomatic and Official Passports, signed in March 2019
